Note for Windows XP and 2000 users: You MUST log in as the ADMINISTRATOR to successfully complete the installation of this software.
If you have a previous version of Multimedia Center for TV WONDER USB installed on your system, it must be UN-INSTALLED. (Add/Remove Programs)
The WDM drivers for TV WONDER USB must be installed manually using Windows, DEVICE MANAGER.
If this is your first time installing TV WONDER USB, be sure to install the TV WONDER USB WDM drivers before connecting the TV WONDER to the USB port on your computer. (This applies to new users of TV WONDER USB or existing users who have recently re-installed their Operating System software.)
If PREVIOUS DRIVERS for TV WONDER USB are installed on the system then you must use DEVICE MANAGER to UPDATE drivers for each TV WONDER USB device.
E) INSTALLING TV WONDER USB WDM DRIVERS
After running tvw-usb-mmc-7-4-0-0.exe the drivers for TV WONDER USB will exist in the following default location; "C:\ATI\tvw-usb-mmc-7-4-0-0" and the ATI Multimedia Center application will be installed.
If NEW HARDWARE is not detected when you connect the USB cable then you can manually install the TV WONDER drivers as follows;
From Device Manager:
NOTE: In some circumstances the TV WONDER USB devices may appear in DEVICE MANAGER under OTHER DEVICES.
To resolve this problem use DEVICE MANAGER to REMOVE these devices and THEN do a system RESTART.
F) ISSUES YOU MAY ENCOUNTER:
TV PLAYER FAILED TO INITIALIZE VIDEO
This error will occur if the WDM drivers for TV WONDER USB are not installed or not functioning properly.
See section E) for instructions on installing drivers.
VERSION CONFLICTS
When installing Display Drivers or Software a "Version Conflict" message may appear multiple times during the installation.
If you encounter a "VERSION CONFLICT" message while installing this display driver select the "NO" option to proceed.
* Selecting "NO" will ensure that the components of this driver bundle will replace your existing driver components.
* Selecting "YES" will result in a MIX of new and old driver components, which is undesirable.
CONFIRM FILE REPLACE
When installing Display Drivers or Software a "Confirm File Replace" message may appear multiple times during the installation.
If you encounter a "Confirm File Replace" message while installing this display driver select the "YES" option to proceed.
Selecting "YES" will ensure that all the components of this driver bundle will replace your existing driver components.
