ATI driver 7.66.04 release information, and last minute notes:

 Information:

• Driver version 7.66-040122x-2501E
• Operating System Support: Windows ME, 2000, XP
• This is a beta unsupported driver at the current time.

 Highlights:

• Adds Anisotropic Filtering support with the following features (For the RADEON 8500):
  • New control Panel
  • For both OpenGL and Direct3D
  • 2X 4X 8X, and 16X Anisotropic filtering modes
  • Improves image quality while maintaining high level of performance
• OpenGL (Quake3) performance improvements for the RADEON 7500
• Dynamic Monitor Re-Assignment - Switching the assignment of the primary and secondary displays in single step.

 Bug Fixes:

• Fix to improve performance bug found on Windows XP systems with more than 512 MB of system memory
• 1024x768 TV OUT support for the RADEON 8500 has been fixed

 Known Issues:

• Anisotropic Filtering – If the user is running an application in a window, and turns on Anisotropic Filtering, the user must change the display mode (resolution) after the Anisotropic Filtering setting has been enabled, in order for the setting to take effect.  NOTE: This does not apply to full screen applications.
• Serious Sam 2 - Locks up on the RADEON 7000/7200/7500 based graphics accelerator (NOT the RADEON 8500) after a prolonged period of play.
• Anisotropic Filtering – The control panel for the RADEON 7500 has an Anisotropic Filtering control panel, but it is not enabled at this point in time.
